Exeter Community Initiatives is celebrating after been chosen as one of Exeter Chiefs Foundation’s designated charities for the 22/23 season.
Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI) helps people facing poverty, inequality and homelessness get their lives back on track by involving them in community projects to improve their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing, increase their sense of belonging and provide skills to help them succeed in life.
The Exeter Chiefs Foundation have chosen 32 designated charities for this coming season. They form a vital cog in the Exeter Chiefs Foundation’s fundraising system, attending the Exeter Chiefs match-days at Sandy Park, and armed with brightly coloured yellow buckets and high-vis jackets, collect money from the supporters who turn out in big numbers to cheer on the team.
Steven Chown, Chief Executive at Exeter Community Initiatives, said: “Thank you so much to the Exeter Chiefs Foundation who have chosen us as one of their designated charities for the 22/23 season. We are over the moon! I know our staff and volunteers are looking forward to going to Sandy Park armed with our blue buckets to support the Chief’s and spread the word about ECI and the work we do across Exeter.”
