Exeter Community Initiatives (ECI) has appointed Carole Pilley as its interim Chief Executive.
Carole, who has been at the charity for more than 18 years, will start her new role with immediate effect after Katie Holland stepped down as the charity’s Chief Executive.
ECI, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023, aims to give people the right support at the start of a problem to help them keep their lives on track and stop them from getting to the point of crisis. It works with individuals, families and communities to empower them to take control of their lives, develop strategies to own and manage their choices and thrive within the life they want to lead. Its projects include Bike Bank, Community Builders, Exeter Connect, Family Resource, Jelly, Transitions and Remade.
Tim Goodwin, Chair of ECI’s Trustees, said: “I have every confidence in Carole to work with staff and volunteers to deliver ECI’s mission of supporting adults, families and communities in and around Exeter when it matters most.”
Speaking of her appointment, Carole Pilley, said: “I am delighted to be appointed interim Chief Executive and look forward to working closely with Tim, the ECI Board of Trustees, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders.”
